An ulu featuring a polished wooden handle with a stand, accompanied by two uluit featuring antler handles. The ulu is a traditional knife used primarily by Alaska Native women for tasks ranging from skinning animals to cutting food. Its curved blade allows for efficient rocking motions, making it especially useful for slicing through fish, meat, and hides. The ulu with a wooden handle measures approximately 4.75" high with an 8" blade.

Two walrus tusk containers include one with a partially open baleen lid and bone base, the side of the tusk enhanced with a flower stem, carved in relief with an abstract heart shape hollowed out behind. Also includes a second container with fully intact removable baleen and fossilized whale bone lid, plus a baleen base. Both bases are initialed N.E. for Yup'ik artist Nick Evan, originally from Tuntutuliak, Alaska. The flower container measures approximately 3.5" x 2.25" x 4.75" tall.

Pair of handcrafted mukluks by Athabascan sewist and beadworker Frances Demientieff of Holy Cross, Alaska. Made in 1949, these mukluks are crafted from spotted seal fur with leather, featuring bear designs in fur around the cuffs with pom-pom ties and zipper fronts. The soles show light wear commensurate with age and use. Approximate measurements as follows: Inner Sole: 10" Outer Sole: 10.5" Width: 4" Height: 8.5"

Four hand-carved argillite pendants featuring traditional Haida formline animal designs, three signed c.1998 en verso by Haida artist Denny Dixon (b.1944), and one by Drew Dixon. Argillite is a unique, fine-grained black carbonaceous shale that is found exclusively at a single quarry on Haida Gwaii and is reserved for use only by Haida artists. Largest pendant measures approximately 1.25" x 2" tall.

A whale baleen frond scrimshawed with figural and symbolic imagery including a mountain range along the water, a trio of grizzly bears wandering by the shore. The baleen displays characteristic banding and a semi-translucent sheen, transitioning to a narrow, fibrous tip at one end. Signed J. Spein c.2021 lower left. Each is crafted with scrimshaw ivory faces and wearing seal fur, rabbit, and ground squirrel parkas with seed bead accents; they are wearing mukluks and mittens. Collection of soapstone carvings signed by Iñupiaq artist Tim (Kim-me-ruk) Lisbourne of Port Hope, Alaska, including a single walrus perched on a rock, a pair of walrus mounted on a bark specimen, and a two-headed walrus, also mounted on a bark specimen. The single walrus and the pair of walrus all have tusks crafted from what are likely walrus whiskers. There are a few overall marks and scuffs to the soapstone surfaces. Largest measures approximately 7" x 4" x 8.25" tall.
