    A carved bone fisherman figure featuring an ivory face with inlaid baleen eyes and labret piercings, holding a baleen harpoon with sinew line in its raised arm. It has inlaid baleen accents throughout and is initialed R.K. on the underside of the bone base for Iñupiaq artist Ricky Kuzuguk (b.1963) of Shishmaref, Alaska. Measures approximately 2" x 2" x 6.5" tall without the harpoon.

          Three Alaska Native items include a fossilized walrus tusk sled runner, enhanced with scrimshaw depicting a wolf and a sled dog team traveling through the mountains; signed lower left c.2002 by Geoff Olson of Homer, Alaska. Also includes a fossilized walrus ivory artifact with inset contemporary ivory face, accented with polychrome ink; mounted upon a fossilized tusk fragment and signed "TT 2010 September". The final piece is a model birch bark canoe with elevated stand and tools. Sled runner has been broken and repaired, and the canoe oar is broken, both as photographed. Largest measures approximately 2.75" x 5" x 6.5".

                      An impressive St. Lawrence Island seal oil lamp, formed in the traditional manner from hand-built, organic-tempered earthenware. Constructed using locally available clay and natural organic materials, the vessel was shaped by hand and low-fired to achieve functional strength. Due to the inherent fragile nature of these objects, they often did not survive as more commonly seen items made from carved stone or ivory and bone. The shallow, elongated basin with defined central ridges retains visible soot darkening and surface wear, consistent with prolonged functional use. A stable crack with evidence of historical repairs extends across the underside, as shown. Measures approximately 12.25" x 9" x 2.5" tall.
