Welcome to the September 2026 Cards & Collectibles Auction hosted by Alaska Premier Auctions & Appraisals! Some things are worth making room for. With over 550 lots of trading cards, comic books, vinyl records, model trains, vintage toys, collector dolls, video games, and pop-culture memorabilia, this auction offers plenty of reasons to reconsider how full your shelves really are. Whether you are expanding a longtime collection, rediscovering a childhood favorite, or shopping for someone whose interests are wonderfully specific, there is an exceptional variety to explore. Trading-card highlights begin with two vintage Wizards of the Coast Pokémon favorites: Dark Charizard 21/82 and Base Set 2 Charizard 4/130. Additional Pokémon offerings include binders of holographic, full-art, EX, V, and VMAX cards, while Magic: The Gathering collections and a sealed Digimon gift box broaden the selection beyond the Pokédex. Sports collectors will find graded Alex Rodriguez, Trae Young, and Zion Williamson rookie cards, alongside autographed cards, game-used memorabilia swatches, and substantial quantities for those who enjoy sorting through possibilities rather than stopping at a single card. The sports memorabilia selection moves from the card binder to the display wall with an autographed Aaron Judge Yankees jersey accompanied by a matching certificate of authenticity, a signed Matt Ryan Falcons jersey, and a D.J. Moore Panthers mini-helmet. A multi-signed Team Canada hockey jersey and autographed Scott Gomez Stanley Cup poster add hockey interest, while Seattle Mariners bobbleheads featuring Félix Hernández, Jay Buhner, Nelson Cruz, and others offer plenty of familiar faces for Pacific Northwest fans. Music lovers have an especially extensive selection to explore, with more than 150 record lots spanning classic rock, country, folk, soul, pop, soundtracks, and more. Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, and Waylon Jennings join The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, and The Rolling Stones, while additional selections feature Taylor Swift, Adele, Twenty One Pilots, Nirvana, Green Day, and Pearl Jam. Soundtracks range from Dirty Dancing and Top Gun to Barbie, Star Wars, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. With many offerings grouped into approximately 30-record lots, there is ample opportunity to expand your listening library and discover something beyond the album that first caught your attention. Comic collectors will find particular depth in horror, fantasy, and cult favorites. Highlights include Purgatori: The Vampire’s Myth #1 Museum Edition numbered 8/25 and a Buffy the Vampire Slayer #1 gold foil variant signed by artist Joe Bennett. Purgatori, The Crow / Razor, Friday the 13th, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre appear in an assortment of special covers and editions, while substantial collections include approximately 113 Buffy, Angel, and Fray comics, 124 Groo the Wanderer comics, and 174 John Constantine, Hellblazer books. Whether you collect by character, creator, cover, or the simple pleasure of having more to read, there is plenty here to keep you occupied. The extensive Steiff collection brings together mohair teddy bears, historical-design replicas, limited editions, and imaginative themed sets. Large 1990s replicas of early teddy bear designs join characterful offerings such as the rose-colored Compass Rose bear, Singapore-exclusive Raffles bear, and green Taiwan-exclusive “Teaddy” bear presented with tea-inspired packaging. Many retain their original boxes, identification tags, and certificates, offering collectors an appealing combination of distinctive designs and accompanying presentation materials. Model railroad enthusiasts will find a strong Alaska connection throughout the train selection. USA Trains and Aristo-Craft Alaska Railroad locomotives wear familiar blue-and-yellow liveries, joined by Alaska Railroad cabooses and boxcars, White Pass & Yukon Route rolling stock, and an Aleutian Islands Fishing & Mining Co. boxcar. Union Pacific locomotives and an MTH RailKing Pennsylvania turbine steam locomotive broaden the offerings, while an LGB passenger train set paired with a Steiff gondola and plush bears provides a particularly fitting crossover between two of the auction’s standout collections. Toys and dolls deliver another generous helping of nostalgia, led by Barbie’s original 1962 suitcase-style Dream House with an assortment of furniture and accessories. A sealed, 3,066-piece LEGO Icons Boutique Hotel offers a substantial building project, while bulk LEGO bricks, parts, and minifigures leave the architectural decisions to you. Boxed Effanbee and Götz dolls, Raggedy Ann and Andy, and numerous Ty Beanie Babies provide alternatives for collectors whose favorite childhood memories did not involve stepping on a misplaced brick. Video gaming spans several generations, including a Nintendo GameCube with Mario Party 5, an Animal Crossing edition Nintendo Switch and turquoise Switch Lite, and Pokémon SoulSilver, Platinum, and White for Nintendo DS. Collectors can also watch for sealed Super Nintendo titles including WWF Super WrestleMania and George Foreman’s KO Boxing, alongside a sealed PlayStation 5 copy of Elden Ring: Nightreign. From revisiting familiar worlds to starting something new, the selection offers plenty of reasons to pick up a controller. The unexpected finds are worth a look, too. Alaska-themed Monopoly games and a vintage Anchorage puzzle share the catalog with a handmade alien sculpture named “Nancy” and The Boring Company’s boxed “Not-A-Flamethrower.” Clearly, not every collection fits neatly into a category. As always, bidding begins at just $5. Browse the complete catalog, review descriptions and photographs carefully, and find the next addition to whatever you love collecting. There is probably room for one more. AUCTION CLOSING:  This auction opened for bidding on September 17th and will begin to close at 6:00 pm AKDT on Wednesday, September 23rd. It features a soft close of 3 lots per minute. If a bid is placed in the final minute, that lot will be extended an additional 60 seconds until no other bids are placed and the lot is sold.
