One end is fitted with a baleen spacer and a polar bear head rendered in walrus tusk, detailed with scrimshaw lines and baleen inlay for the eyes and nose. The opposite end is capped with another baleen spacer and and a finely carved seal head, also in walrus tusk, with scrimshaw features and baleen accents. The shaft displays a smooth polish and subtle surface texture, reflecting the natural grain of the fossilized bone. Measures approximately 19.25" x 2" in diameter.

            Two pairs of carefully handcrafted Alaska Native moccasins fabricated from softened moose hide, including one elaborately beaded pair. The beaded moccasins feature a high vamp with a floral motif in red, brown, and green glass beads against a bright turquoise ground, bordered by tan hide. The uppers are constructed from lighter suede and include a folded-over cuff secured with leather ties. The second pair is plainer, made entirely of darker hide with wrap-around laces and puckered toe seams. Both pairs show evident wear, with creasing, sole soiling, and some surface abrasions commensurate with age and use. The unadorned pair measures approximately 11" x 5.5", and the beaded pair is 11" x 4" tall.

              A beautifully handcrafted pair of Alaska Native mukluks featuring hide soles, likely moose, wool-felt uppers, and striking glass beadwork. The uppers are constructed from deep navy wool with red felt trim and are richly adorned with traditional floral beadwork in white, red, green, and orange. Dense fur encircles the calves for warmth and wind resistance. The vamps are decorated with similar floral patterns, while leather laces wrap around the ankles and tie at the back. These mukluks are functional winter footwear and expressive cultural art objects, showcasing the intricate floral beadwork associated with Athabascan and Subarctic traditions. The soles show wear consistent with light outdoor use, and there is minor stitching separation near the heels, though the uppers remain vibrant and well-preserved.                   A finely woven round Inupiaq baleen basket with dark brown to black coloration and a subtle natural sheen. The form is slightly squat with a broad, rounded shoulder tapering to a flat base. The tightly fitted lid is flattened and topped with a carved walrus tusk finial in the shape of a prowling polar bear; the bear’s form is well proportioned with scrimshaw paw and facial details. Initialed "H.K." on the underside of the finial for Herbert Koonuk of Point Hope, AK (1911-1994), and marked for 1,205 on the inside of the tusk charger. Measures approximately 4.5" in diameter x 3.25" tall.

Kautzky, known for his mastery of architectural renderings and watercolor technique, was also a prolific teacher and author. This work is housed in a vintage speckle-painted frame, Kautzky's name handwritten at lower right en verso. Also includes two books authored by or about the artist titled Ted Kautzky: Master of Pencil and Watercolor and Pencil Broadsides (Enlarged Edition), both featuring examples of Kautzky's distinctive instructional style and techniques.                                   A set of original vintage sign letters spelling "Wien Air Alaska," salvaged from signage associated with Alaska's historic Wien Air. The cast metal letters, originally painted in a blue enamel, were later painted in gold. Founded in 1927 by pioneering Alaskan aviator Noel Wien (1899-1977), Wien Air Alaska was the first commercial airline to operate in Alaska, and served as a lifeline for many remote communities. After merging with Northern Consolidated Airlines in 1968, it became known as Wien Air Alaska and operated under that name until ceasing operations in 1984. Each letter has recessed mounting channels en verso, and the largest measures approximately 19" x 1" x 16" tall.

                                    Two finely crafted silver handbags, each formed with a lidded top that opens from the center, allowing the curved handle and lid halves to open to each side. Both handbags are adorned with intricate repoussée work, a metalworking technique where a malleable metal is ornamented or shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief. Floral scrollwork adorns along the top band while a detailed depiction of Angkor Wat decorates, the temple flanked by stylized naga figures as they sit upon the approaching pathway. Angkor Wat, a 12th-century temple complex and UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the largest religious monument in the world and an enduring symbol of Cambodia's national identity and cultural heritage; both bags are stamped for Cambodian origin on the undersides, and are tested as fine silver, content believed to be 85-90%. The larger handbag measures approximately 5.75" x 3.5" x 4.5" tall (8.5" including handle); combined, they weigh 700 grams.
