Two sterling silver medallions by Hopi jewelry artist Preston Monongye (1927-1987), the leader in "The New Indian Jewelry" movement of the 1960s and 1970s. The quality of Monongye's Native American jewelry is rivaled only by Charles Loloma, Lee Yazzie, and a small circle of other top artists. The pins include one oval example engraved with a dancer, and one round piece engraved with a bear. Both have safety-pin style clasps en verso. Largest pin measures approximately 2" x 2.75" tall; total combined weight of 45.68 grams.

An original watercolor depicting an arched bridge reflecting in the water below, with two figures standing on the upper edge. Signed lower right by Eliot O'Hara (American, 1890-1969), the piece is executed in neutral shades of grays and browns; a small blemish is visible lower-left corner. Also includes two books: Watercolour Lessons from Eliot O'Hara by Carl Schmalz, and Watercolor at Large: Sequel to "Making the Brush Behave" and "Watercolor Fares Forth," Etc. as written by the artist. The final item is a postcard of the artist's work titled "Cape Saint Elias, Alaska" and produced by the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center. The watercolor is framed in cream and rich wood, with some discoloration as shown, measuring approximately 22" x 29" overall.

Titled "L'Illettre Vert (The Illiterate - Green)", the image depicts a dark figure upon a green background dotted with white and olive paint splatter. The artwork is part of a series of lithographs created c.1969 featuring different color combinations, and all with abstract humanoid figures with letter-like forms. Exceptional handmade bone cribbage board crafted from the now extinct Sirenia, commonly referred to as a sea cow, specifically the Steller's sea cow. Piece has a slight arch to it; it comes with four carved pegs and has a maker's mark on the bottom. Measures approxiamtely 9.25" x 2" x 1" tall.

A large mineralized whale tooth depicting the mythical Billiken folk spirit and featuring a metal disk on its stomach engraved with three sled dogs to commemorate the 2017 Iditarod race. First described in 1908 by Kansas City art teacher Florence Petz, the Billiken is said to bring good luck through the purchase and gifting of its likeness. The Billiken caught onto a wave of popularity in Alaska in 1909 when the Inuk carver Angokwazhuk began including the figure in his work. Measures approximately 6" long.

Collection of four different issues of The London Gazette dating from 1671, 1771, 1871, and 1971. The London Gazette continues circulation to this day and has done since its founding in 1665 under the name The Oxford Gazette. It is, however, not a newspaper in the colloquial sense used in the contemporary era. Rather, it is one of the official journals of record for the British government, primarily publishing state and parliamentary notices, legal notices, notices of corporate and personal insolvency, military and civilian awards, as well as honors lists. It also publishes dispatches from conflict zones in times of war. Measures approximately 14" x 10" tall.

Has scrimshaw details depicting a walrus breaching the water as well as three seals relaxing on ice flows. Exquisite Shona sculpture carved by Zimbabwean artist W. Danga. Representative of a traditional art form practised by the Shona people of Zimbabwe for centuries, this sculpture depicts a figure holding its face in their hands and falls into common motifs used by Shona artists, which draw on Shona culture and music in order to honour ancestral spirits. Commonly carved from soapstone, serpentine, or verdite, this sculpture is composed of an indeterminate material and demonstrates the wide impact this art form has had both in Zimbabwe and abroad since gaining international attention in the 1980s. Sculpture measures approximately 8.25" x 7" x 20.25" tall.

A 1947 Alaska territory license plate, of a type offered between 1945 and 1947. License plates issued at this time were constructed from fragile fibre board. As such, the bottom of this plate has broken off unevenly. Measures approximately 8.75" x 5" tall.
