The top surface is inlaid with cribbage scoring holes, with four pegging lanes running across the board. Two carved contemporary tusk supports in the shape of seals are attached to the underside for balancing purposes. Three matching tusk cribbage pegs are included. Measures approximately 12.5" x 2.5" x 1.5" tall.

Three carved Alaska Native soapstone figures, each depicting a standing figure in traditional parka form with inlaid faces of walrus tusk, accented with baleen features. Each stands in a dancing pose with the left arm raised and holding a feather. The polished green stone is smoothly worked, with rounded contours and softly modeled and incised features. Two smaller figures, one with an illegible artist mark, and one larger figure; the larger example measures approximately 3.5" x 2" x 7.25" tall.

A vintage Kilburg Geochron model KG-110-60 world clock, featuring a brightly colored, mechanically driven time zone map mounted on a faux woodgrain panel. This wall-mounted device displays real-time global day and night zones, as well as synchronized time and calendar indicators along the top and bottom edges. Cities are marked across multiple time zones, with a representation of Earth's rotation and sunlight coverage across the continents. Produced by Geochron of San Mateo, California, this circa 1975-1990 model tested to power on at time of cataloging; several areas of surface loss are visible on the upper left front edge as photographed. Measures approximately 34.25" x 4.5" x 22.5" tall.

A Seiko quartz wristwatch encrusted with Alaska gold nuggets on the case and bracelet. A gold-tone sunburst dial features applied baton hour markers, a day/date aperture at 3 o'clock, and slim black hands; the bezel is decorated with golden accents and further surrounded by gold nuggets. Gold nuggets continue on the outer surface of the 10 karat yellow gold band with a fold-over clasp. Featuring Japanese movement, water resistance, and a markings of 958307 and 7123-8059 upon the back of the case. Untested at time of cataloging. Measures approximately 1.5" x 1.75" upon the face and 8.5" in circumference. Total weight of 110 grams. Not presently running, oxidation to the dial as photographed.

A Yup'ik spirit wheel featuring a double baleen hoop frame surrounding a carved walrus tusk face. The six surrounding effigies, also carved from tusk, include stylized figures such as a walrus, whale, flipper, and fluke. Eighteen delicately bound natural feathers encircle the perimeter, attached at regular intervals with sinew or cord. A paddle and harpoon are affixed adjacent to the central face. Spirit wheels are traditionally rich in cultural symbolism, representing harmony between the natural and spiritual worlds, with each figure carrying meaning tied to hunting, guidance, or transformation. Signed LMS for Inupiaq artist Lenwood Saccheus (20th Century) of Elim, Alaska, en verso; a drilled hole allows for hanging on the wall. Measures approximately 11.5" x 11" tall.

A richly fossilized walrus (Odobenus rosmarus) skull, with eight upper molar teeth and a pair of tusks; one tusk has a small inked blemish as photographed. Alaska Native peoples, including the Yup'ik and Inupiat, have hunted walruses for centuries as a vital source of food, tools, and materials. Every part of the animal - meat, blubber, skin, bone, and tusk - was traditionally used with care and respect to support coastal subsistence. The skull, mounted upon a 12.5" x 18" plaque, measures approximately 8" x 5" x 23" in total (tusks alone are 15.5" in length, measured as protruding from the skull.) Acquired circa the 1950's, tusks likely cleaned or not original to skull.

McDaniel was a widely collected Alaskan painter, and is known for his evocative depictions of the state's wilderness and cultural landmarks. Signed lower left and titled en verso. The kayaker wears a hooded parka and sits atop a low-profile kayak. The tusk surface shows smooth polish and warm coloration with natural grain, while darker areas of fossilization accent the base and bow. Fine scrimshaw details enhance the figure’s face and clothing. Marked on the underside with "22", the sculpture measures approximately 6.25" x 1" x 2" tall.

The body of the tusk retains its natural weathered patina with mottled hues and light surface cracking typical of fossilized material. Tupilak figures are imaginative spirit carvings inspired by Inuit traditions but adapted into local cultural expression. Though not ceremonial objects, they often represent protective forces, ancestral beings, or mythic creatures tied to the natural world. The largest tupilak measures approximately 1.25" x 1.25" x 3.75" tall.
