THANK YOU Dan and Alaska Premier Auctions and Appraisals! They made the process of liquidating assets in my business easy, pain free and profitable. Dan is a professional from start to finish, making sure the details are handled and smoothing the process along the way.
Scott Stansbury, Owner, SSP Studio & Gallery LLC
Dan Newman with Alaska Premier Auctions & Appraisals, LLC recently facilitated an auction at my facility. Upon his interaction prior, during and after has been absolutely stellar. He guided me through the entire process and made my life so much easier in the process. His level of professionalism has far exceeded my expectations. I have attended many auctions through the years and when he showed up well dressed, his appearance commanded everyone's attention as well as his demeanor and skills. He was able to increase the bids and kept people interacted in the bidding process. So many auctions I have been to the auctioneer was dressed down. From the beginning I knew that this was going to be special. I was not wrong! I will definitely be using Dan's services again as well as highly recommend him and his service to others.
W. Ross Johnston, Program Chair, Anchorage South Rotary
I sponsored Dan Newman into Anchorage South Rotary 4 years ago. He was proven himself a committed Rotarian who is always willing to go the extra mile to make our club better and help our community flourish.
The last two years, Dan Newman has taken over as the auctioneer for “Parcel Post”, an event that used to be a very minor fund raiser. Since Dan’s involvement, proceeds have more than tripled. The “Parcel Post” event is now our 2nd largest funds generator.
It is with great enthusiasm that I recommend Dan Newman as your auctioneer. He will provide high energy, fun commentary, and a tremendous return to your bottom line.

I was very excited to get an opportunity to write this letter of reference for Dan. There is an interesting story as to how we met which I thin speaks for Dan’s character. While he was on vacation, when most people might take the opportunity to ignore the world, he was spending evenings researching benefits and best practices to grow in his new career as an auctioneer. One such evening, in the condo he was vacationing in, he joined the NAA and immediately did what we would hope of all our members. He browsed the website and located his ambassador. That same evening he called his ambassador and ironically enough, he was vacationing on the island of Kauai and his ambassador (myself) was just a few miles away from where he was. It felt very Serendipitous.
Within a couple of days we got to spend some time together. We even had lunch and I was able to meet his family. His lovely Wife, his two handsome young boys, and his kind father in law. Dan was a refreshing person to talk with and he has a real thirst for the right education and representation of the industry. We spoke at length of the benefits and the tactics of accomplishing some of the integral aspects of membership within the NAA. He showed a real interest in educating himself and finding out how best to represent our industry.
Tabitha Karpow, Anchorage Chamber of Commerce
On behalf of the over 900 members of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, their 50,000+ individual employees, the Anchorage Chamber staff, and Board of Directors it is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Dan Newman.
Dan is a hard working individual who brings his class, expertise, energy, and professional knowledge to every task he undertakes. He is a longtime leader in the Ambassador Council and Young Professionals Group here at the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce. Wherever Dan lends a hand, he does so with noticeable drive and commitment to getting the job done. We are truly blessed to have had Dan involved with our organization for the last 8+ years and look forward to many more in the future.
Recently, Dan saw a need in our community, one that would especially benefit our non-profit community. To meet this need he chose to go out of state to auction school. Since completing this auctioneer course, he has returned home to Alaska and hit the ground running. In addition to his 9 – 5 job as a Senior Account Executive at KTUU an NBC affiliate and many volunteer projects, he has opened his new business, Alaska Premier Auctions and Appraisals LLC. Like everything Dan does, he has put his all into his business and this second career. Already he has had several successful auction events and has more on the horizon, including a live auction component on the upcoming Anchorage Chamber “Kentucky Derby” Train Ride.
